Position Overview: My client is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join the executive team as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, optimizing business processes, and spearheading growth initiatives to ensure the company's continued success in a competitive market. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for all operational activities, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives. Streamline processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability across all business units. Implement best practices and performance metrics to monitor and improve operational performance. Business Development and Growth: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute growth strategies that expand the company's market presence and drive revenue growth. Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential acquisitions to support long-term growth objectives. Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry associations, to enhance the company's reputation and market position. Financial Management: Work closely with the CFO to develop and manage annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance against targets, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks. Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing operational team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors. Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, drive operational excellence, and achieve results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
